= How to define a projection and project the layer =

 * Define a projection[[BR]]
A shapefile layer without a .prj file associated can't be geolocalized in the ArcGis window. To associate a projection to a layer go to the !ArcTool box :[[BR]]
   !ArcToolbox > Data Management Tools> Projections and Transformations > Define Projection
        Input Dataset or feature Class : Bdmap2_vf2  (Sélectionner le fichier sur lequel le traitement sera effectué)
        Coordinate system in Spatial Reference Properties>XY Coordinate System > Browse for Coordinate System > Look in (change the directory to find the coordinate system)
        > Z:\06-Scripts_Utilitaire\Projections_françaises > NTF Lambert II Utendu.prj > Add > ok
    --> ce qui crée un nouveau fichier .prj


 * Project the layer[[BR]]
When the coordinate system has been define and a .prj file has been created and to change the coordinate system use:[[BR]]
   Data Management Tools> Projections and Transformations > Feature > Project
        Input Dataset or Feature Class : bdmapv2_vf2
	Renomer le fichier en bdmap_LAEA  (créer un nouveau fichier dans le même système de projection).
	Output Dataset or Feature Class : bdmap_LAEA
	Output Coordinate System > XY Coordinate System >  Select >
	Geographic Transformation (optional) > NTF_TO_ETRS  (sélectionner le premier dans la liste la plupart du temps).
	> OK
